This active process of following the example of Jesus Christ to acquire understanding and freedom is a process I am attempting to apply in my own life. The attitudes and perspectives that were demonstrated by my artifacts are an essential aspect of this process. Because learning is an active process, it seems to require great personal effort. It has been easy for me to be slightly apathetic and lazy, neglecting the diligent effort required of me.
In order to continue to learn I have found that I have to have a goal and motivation to continue, something to hunger and thirst after. For me, that motivation has become a desire to help other people move forward and increase in happiness. As we learn more, we are better equipped to help and serve. If our modern-day civilization adopted this way of learning we would have more harmony and peace. Rather than focusing on gaining prestige or advantage over others, focusing on increasing in freedom and power to serve others would have tremendously good results.
